Earendel is published and supported by Epona Solutions Ltd. Email info@epona-solutions.ltd.uk for an app problem, feedback or a feature request.

The useful report is already in Earendel. Open the sidebar and choose Diagnostics. In a TestFlight build it is called Beta feedback. Choose Share snapshot and attach it to your email. Earendel removes locations, network addresses, targets, filenames, images and raw telescope replies from that snapshot. You can read every line before it leaves your Mac.

What to include

What you expected, what actually happened and the last button you pressed.
The Earendel version and build, macOS version and Mac model. The diagnostic snapshot includes these.
The telescope model and firmware version if the problem involves hardware.
A screenshot of the visible error if it adds something the snapshot cannot show.

Please don't send an Apple Account password, telescope Wi-Fi password, API key or private image. If an image is necessary, send only what you intend us to inspect.

If Earendel cannot find the telescope

The App Store release opens live control only after the telescope itself reports that it is a DWARF 3. Put the telescope into station mode and make sure the Mac and telescope are on the same local Wi-Fi. If discovery is still empty, check whether a VPN or firewall is blocking local network traffic, then share the diagnostic snapshot.

Other DWARF and Seestar models can still import and Forge their FITS files. Their live control remains in attended TestFlight field testing until each physical model has passed its own acceptance session.

If the Forge unlock is missing

Open the Forge unlock sheet and choose Restore purchase while signed into the same Apple Account that bought it. Earendel receives the entitlement from Apple; it never receives card or banking details. For a charge or refund request, use Apple's Report a Problem.

Try the pipeline without a telescope

Open an empty Library and choose Try a practice night. Earendel creates six clearly labelled simulated FITS frames locally, including two frames worth rejecting. You can review them, run the Forge and check export without moving any hardware.

Compatibility

Earendel requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs are not supported.
