Earendel doesn't build a profile of you. Your telescope images and processing work remain on your Mac unless you explicitly export or share them. The observing site you choose is sent to Apple Weather only when Earendel requests a forecast for it.

Information Earendel uses

Earendel can use a coarse observing location that you type or grant. It is used to point the telescope, calculate what is visible and plan your night. It is not linked to an identity and is not used for tracking. When you ask for a forecast, Apple Weather receives that chosen site to answer the request.

Images and files

Your images are processed locally on your Mac. They do not leave it unless you choose an export, share or destination yourself. Earendel can also read folders you explicitly select, including cloud-drive folders managed by their own provider.

Network services

Weather forecasts are fetched from Apple Weather for your chosen site; Apple's terms apply to that request. Satellite orbital elements and public astronomy alerts are fetched from public services. Earendel does not send those services your images or an Earendel account identity.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. Earendel sees only the entitlement needed to decide whether the Forge unlock is owned. It does not receive your card or banking details.

No accounts, analytics or advertising

Earendel has no user accounts, third-party analytics, advertising trackers or behavioural profiles. It does not sell or rent personal information.

Your control

Delete an Earendel session to remove its local files and record. Originals outside Earendel and files still on the telescope are not deleted unless a separate, named action says so.
